Joint Problems
If your joints hurt or are stiff, exercise may be the last thing you think you should do - but it is just the opposite!
If you exercise the right way, you will find that you feel so much better:
- you'll gain muscle strength around your joints, which will help to stabilize and support them, decreasing wear and tear
- exercise will help lubricate your joints and reduce inflammation
- exercise can help you lose weight, which reduces the burden on your joints
You want to look for exercise programs which are non-impact but create muscle strength to support your joints.
We recommend the following exercise programs:
| If you are just starting out, try Seated Exercise I. These exercises are all done from a seated position, which means that there is no stress on your joints. And because you are seated, the exercises isolate your key muscles and strengthen them. Your joints will start to feel better and better! |
